Our story
D&H Training was born out of a passion for helping dogs and their humans build lasting, respectful relationships. Founded by Leigh in Wellsford, Auckland, the business blends expert training with genuine care, supporting pet owners who want more than obedience—they want connection. With a mobile service that reaches across Rodney and surrounding areas, D&H Training brings personal, values-driven support right to the community.
Leigh’s approach is rooted in empathy, experience, and a deep understanding of canine behaviour. Through strategic business planning and a knack for creating delicious, natural treats, they've built more than a brand—they’ve built a movement that puts families first. Whether educating clients on consent-based training or crafting a future vision for a Doggie Stop café and agility retreat, D&H Training is leading with kindness, relatability, and a sense of purpose.

Meet Molly the Staffy. Here for your dog therapy training sessions. Molly is calm and very intune with other dogs.

Our history
What started with helping a few families struggling with traditional training methods quickly evolved into a mobile service that brings empathy, education, and clarity to dog owners from all walks of life. With each wagging tail and grateful client, Leigh built more than a business—D&H became a movement for compassionate training and community support.
Driven by a belief that affordability shouldn’t compromise quality, D&H Trainers continues to expand its impact while staying true to its roots: supporting families, respecting dogs, and strengthening the bond between species. From those early sessions on muddy lawns to the future dreams of a Doggie Stop café and agility retreat, our journey is about trust, growth, and tails that tell a thousand stories.
